If Stevie Nicks and Jim Morrison ever had a love child; enter Morgan Joanel... Fueled by the sparks of creative chaos, the Australian musician and visual artist is a creative force to be reckoned with.
Having just returned from the UK, with performances in Camden and at The Long Road Festival, Joanel is gearing up for new music releases and a European tour in Summer 2024.
The live-looping artist has tasted more than many in the music industry; touring nationally as main support-act for some of music's biggest stars, Adam Lambert (Queen), Jason Derulo and Newton Faulkner. In 2019, UK superstar Anne-Marie discovered Morgan playing a small-bar show in Perth, and personally invited her to open the next show of her international tour.
She's been both an independent and major label artist with Sony, but it's her captivating live performances with multi-instruments, soulful vocal harmonies and pure love of songwriting that casts the spell over intimate and stadium audiences alike. With coveted national Triple J radio play, Morgan Joanel has reached semi-finalist status in the International Songwriting Competition for her bohemian rock'n'roll style music.
"It's rare to meet someone who's a natural in more than one creative area"
- Adrian Breakspear, ARIA Award Winning / Grammy Nominated Producer
Morgan Joanel will be touring her music and art through Western Australia and New South Wales until April 2024, and then will be touring through Europe for summer 2024. Mixing up sets between solo with live-looping, and also shows with her full band, dates will be announced in late 2023. She will also be painting large scale mural artworks for venues and private residence.
