Each melody, a drip in the ocean of time, each colour unveiling the threads that tie us all together.

Night Blooms, the upcoming 5-track EP of original music from Morgan Joanel is part and parcel of a multi-perspective project coming to life one aspect at a time through music and visual art.  An unbridled spirit, Morgan has been a creative force for the last decade Australia-wide and beyond, recently asking hey loyal following to fund the first phase of her ArtMusic project via a hugely successful Kickstarter.

February 2020 sees Morgan's single DISAPPEAR released with and animated stop motion video the artist created herself - just a taste of what's to come with the project. Morgan will soon be bringing her live performances to life in a cinematic experience where visuals accompany live music in collaboration with Event Cinemas.

Although Morgan is constantly challenging her expression with new artistic mediums, it has always been music that brings her heart to life. Performing live with guitars, keys and electronic drums, Morgan layers vocal harmonies and orchestrates a wall of sound all created live on stage with loop pedals. This is the live performance that captured the attention of UK sensation Anne-Marie who saw Morgan playing an intimate gig and personally asked her to open her Perth show of the Australian tour the next night. It's not the first time she's played a big stage though - Morgan was hand-picked to open for Adam Lambert, Jason Derulo and Newton Faulkner on their national tours of Australia - an eclectic mix of musicians, which only shows Morgan's sound and live performances span a diverse range of audiences.
After landing a major label record deal in her 20’s, relocating to the other side of the country, running her own fashion label, and creating large scale artworks; her visions for music and art were suffocating with the restraints of being on a major - so she decided to walk away from it all, in search of artistic freedom and a desire to challenge the status quo. Morgan has spent years travelling between the US and Australia working with Grammy nominated producers and songwriters but she accredits her total rebirth in artistic expression to leaving the major label scene and returning to her roots of creating music and art simultaneously: “it has given me the space to create with total freedom” says the artist.

During her time exploring other creative expressions, the multi-disciplinary artist produced an extensive list of fashion design successes including having her original collections stocked in Myer stores Australia wide and her face emblazoned on t-shirts in Zara stores globally. She’s been featured in Nylon Magazine (Japan), walked the runway for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week  and was labelled ‘genius’ by MTV Style (New York).
